After midnight the night before surgery, no sustenance should be given to your animal. Your animal can drink an abundance of water.
Please peruse our Surgical Admission & Release Form by clicking HERE prior to bringing your pet in for surgery. You will be asked to sign this form the morning you send off your animal for surgery.
Drop-Off
On the day of your appointment, please bring your pet to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia Spay/Neuter Center (left entrance) at 7:45 a.m. but no later than 8:30 a.m. Please leave your animal in the car until you have checked in and completed your documentation upon arrival at the Center. Please inform our staff at check-in if your pet is aggressive.
Cats must be carried in a carrier (one cat per carrier), and dogs must be on a leash. A non-carrier cat will incur a $8 surcharge to be transported home in a cardboard carrier. Feral cats MUST be captured with humane traps. Any animals brought in after 8:30 a.m. on the day of their surgery will be rescheduled.
Pick Up
Every animal is collected on the same day as the surgery. Cats must be collected at 4:30 p.m. and dogs at 4 p.m.
