Apply to Join Bone Voyage’s Board of Directors

Are you passionate about helping dogs in need and making a positive difference in the world? Consider applying to be a member of Bone Voyage’s Board of Directors. Though we’re a dog rescue and shelter in Ajijic, Mexico that flies dogs to adopters in the US and Canada, our board members can live anywhere.

We are expanding our board and are developing a pool of potential candidates who meet our strategic needs at this time. We encourage anyone who is interested to fill out the form below. If you have questions, contact our Executive Director, Annette Thompson, at [email protected] or chat with her on WhatsApp at (52) 332-971-8011.

As a US non-profit organization, Bone Voyage Dog Rescue relies on the support of dedicated volunteers to achieve our mission. We receive no government funding. The board plays a critical role in providing guidance and expertise to help us achieve our goals.

Besides saving the lives of homeless dogs and puppies, here are 6 more reasons to serve on our board:

  1. You will make a difference: Board members play an important role in guiding Bone Voyage’s mission and impact.
  2. You will meet talented, interesting people who will add to your sphere of influence: Serving on our board provides opportunities to meet and network with compassionate leaders.
  3. You will gain increased visibility and credibility: Serving on Bone Voyage’s board can raise your profile in the community, demonstrating your commitment to social responsibility and giving back.
  4. You will develop new skills: Serving on our board can help you develop skills in strategic planning, team management, decision-making, digital marketing, public relations, financial planning, fundraising, and human resources.
  5. You will stretch and exercise your intellectual and emotional muscles: Board service allows you to bring your full self to the organization and use your skills and life experience to make a difference.
  6. You will fall more in love with saving dogs: The closer you are to Bone Voyage’s work, the more passionate you become about rescuing dogs.
