Bone Voyage (bonevoyagedogrescue.com) is a content website about caring for senior dogs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and readable.

We collect very little, and only what we need to run the site and send you updates.
- Your email address, when you choose to join our waitlist or newsletter. You give us this on purpose, by typing it into a signup form.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics, such as which pages are viewed and roughly how many people visit. This is aggregate traffic data. We are not building a profile of you as an individual.
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or payment details. We are not a rescue anymore and we do not take donations, so there's no checkout and no financial information involved.
How we use it
- To send you the newsletter and occasional updates you signed up for, including care guidance and news about the backup-adopter promise.
- To understand which articles are helpful, so we can write better ones.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal information. Full stop.
Third parties we rely on
To run the site and send email, we use a small number of trusted service providers. They process data only to provide their service to us, not for their own marketing.
- Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services) to deliver our newsletter emails.
- Cloudflare to host and protect the site, and for privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic analytics.
Cookies and analytics
Our analytics are designed to be cookieless and to exclude bots, so in normal browsing we are not dropping tracking cookies on you or following you around the web. If we ever add anything that does use cookies, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
How to unsubscribe or delete your data
You're always in control of your email address:
- Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
- You can also email us any time to unsubscribe, to see what we hold, or to ask us to delete your information: [email protected]. We'll take care of it promptly.
Children
This site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their email, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and move the effective date at the top. Because this is an early draft, expect it to get more precise over time, including after a proper legal review.
